Beginner Paper Silkscreen Workshop (one-color)
Demystify silkscreen and learn to print your own posters or cards!
Join us at BPL for an introductory class on the centuries-old process of screen printing on paper. This class runs about two to three hours and covers screen exposure, set-up techniques, efficient print workflow for a one-color graphic, and troubleshooting techniques. By the end of the class, participants have ten to twenty personal posters or cards hand-printed with a design of their own! Great for new printers of all ages.
Once you've placed an order, we'll be in touch with you via email about scheduling and prepping your artwork. Please note that we must receive your artwork at least 48 hours before the class.
BPL provides each participant with the following: 1 film of their image, 1 screen rental for the day (with an option to purchase the screen after class), ink, and tools for printing. Scrap paper is available at the studio. Participants are also welcome to bring their own paper or buy it through BPL.
*If you've never printed before this class is a pre-requisite for printing DIY in BPL's communal silkscreen space.
